Mini road racing is the world wide sport of racing small displacement motorcycles on pavement, including go-kart tracks and indoor arena's. Current rules allow for two-stroke engine displacements up to 93cc, and four-stroke engine displacements up to 150cc. Mini road racing is very similar to full size road racing with racing lines, acceleration and braking are all to scale of full sized road courses. Racing a bike of these sizes lets you go out have a great day of racing without the expense and speeds of full size road racing. It’s the perfect platform for younger racers to help build their skills to someday race internationally. All mini road racing clubs are really out to have a good time and a little bit of friendly competition. It is truly a family sport. There are race classes for kids, ladies, beginners and experts in addition to the regular classes based on engine type. Racers ages range from 8 to 60 years young. Some of the best seats are track side supporting the racers as the action flies by. It is the people behind the scenes that make a race great. The track is like a laboratory, it's clean and controlled and riders can approach their own limits with full attention on improvement. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to know that a closed road circuit is the safest place to test your limits. The AMRA plays host to the Pitster Pro Canadian National Mini Road Racing Series. These national events have produced some very talented riders over the years:
Motordirex Mini Moto riders Ayrton and Aiello Hall have displayed a tremendous amount of natural talent in only a short while. After a few Sunday afternoon practices they decide they wanted to enter a race. This race would come on October 7, 2007 with the PCMRC at Tradex in Abbotsford, BC. The brothers finished 3rd and 4th in the 7 to 10 age class in their debut event. After an impressive display of riding ability on a MT-A2R mini moto, the team will be riding GP3-A Replica machines from Tsunami Bike. The GP3-A is a far superior bike compared to the MT-A2R and the boys are very excited to race them. Click to view the 2008 Motordirex Mini Moto team bikes. Motorsports promotions have a proven successful track record. Considering the worldwide appeal of motorsports, more fans follow racing than any other sport. The question to ask is, .does the audience match your target customer?. Contrary to popular belief, the racing audience is quite diverse and is truly nationwide, rather then narrowly segmented as is commonly assumed. Racing fans tend to be very loyal to sponsors products. Surveys reveal that a higher percentage of race fans buy sponsors good and services than fans of any other sporting event. Virtually every business market sector is represented in a racing program. Often, competing companies find themselves competing on the track as well. Racing fans will spend money on the brands that are relevant to them, and are loyal customer who appreciate relationships with sponsors whose products and/or brand play a key role in their favorite form of entertainment. Around 90% of motorcycle racing enthusiasts ride also. Sponsorship advertising or donation makes all sponsorship investments entirely tax deductible.
